The objective of the Electronic Procurement Platform is to link the buyer and the supplier together in a collective and future-oriented infrastructure, where the participants can exchange necessary electronic business documents based on international standards, and shall contribute to efficiency improvements through:
- Better procurements: price gains on agreements can be reached through well defined procurement strategies; increased loyalty to agreements already entered into and an improved basis for entering into new agreements.
- Simplified procurements: less administration and time-saving measures through more effective and simplified routines, including re-use of information throughout the procurement process.
- More secure procurements: less wrong-doings, improved control and traceability through electronic and transparent processes where support for compliance to procurement regulations is incorporated in the working processes.
- Stimulate the supplier market in Norway to develop their skills level of electronic commerce (electronic catalogue production, integrated business processes for order, order response and invoice), thereby increasing their competitiveness.
The illustration below, which is based on the existing operator’s solution, provides an overview of the services for electronic interaction between buyer and seller.
